About me

A brief CV
I am currently studying IT Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
- August 2009 - won a study trip to Dublin, Ireland, together with 35 other Italian students who finished High School with maximum mark. It was a wonderful experience, surrounded by stimulating people. I won't be able to forget those days... Dun-An-Oir, Galway, the Guinness, and the windy Cliffs of Moher on the west coast, one of the most outstanding coastal features of Ireland. And... not only that.
- 2008 - High school diploma (Liceo scientifico PNI) - 100/100+L. Awarded a merit-based scolarship and added to the national INDIRE Register of Excellence.
- May 2008 - won an EU promoted contest with an essay about Altiero Spinelli

Visit to the European Parliament and European Commission at Bruxelles. It was amazing to have a seat at the EU Parliament, wearing headphones with so many channels available to choose. There are 23 official languages spoken in the EU Parliament, and 506 possible combinations, since each language can be translated into 22 others. In order to meet this challenge, they have set up highly efficient interpreting, translation and legal text verification services. I was very impressed by that. - September 2007 - become an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), certificate holder ID: OS-101-02045.
- June 2007 - University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations - FCE Grade A.
- May 2006 - won a contest by Jeunes Européens Fédéralistes (JEF), a week of conferences about European federalism (exclusive competence, shared competence, etc...) at Desenzano del Garda, Italy.
- June 2005 - won an EU promoted contest with an essay about the "Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe" (TCE): visit to Amsterdam and Den Haag. I attended part of the Milosevic's trial at International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and visited the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Quotes
Some assorted quotes... :)
Since my earliest childhood a barb of sorrow has lodged in my heart. As long as it stays I am ironic - if it is pulled out I shall die.
Søren Kierkegaard
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Arthur C. Clarke
The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which; he simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.
Buddha
No evil can happen to a good man, neither in life nor after death.
Socrates (Plato, The Apology, Sec. 41)
Who is the great dragon whom the spirit will no longer call lord and god? "Thou shalt" is the name of the great dragon. But the spirit of the lion says, "I will." "Thou shalt" lies in his way, sparkling like gold, an animal covered with scales; and on every scale shines a golden "thou shalt." Values, thousands of years old, shine on these scales; and thus speaks the mightiest of all the dragons: "All value of all things shines on me. All value has long been created, and I am all created value. Verily, there shall be no more 'I will.'" Thus speaks the dragon.
Friedrich Nietzsche
April 1st: This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four.
Mark Twain
